About CTIC
CTIC stands for Community Transition Interagency Committee.
Mission: To promote effective transition services through community collaboration for youth that will prepare them for adult life.
Vision: Youth with disabilities will have opportunities for full participation in the community.
The Dakota County CTIC serves ten school districts:
- SSD 6 (South St. Paul)
- ISD 191 (Burnsville-Eagan-Savage)
- ISD 192 (Farmington)
- ISD 194 (Lakeville)
- ISD 195 (Randolph)
- ISD 196 (Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan)
- ISD 197 (West St. Paul-Mendota Heights-Eagan)
- ISD 199 (Inver Grove Heights)
- ISD 200 (Hastings)
- ISD 917 (Intermediate School District 917

MN Statute 125A.22 defines a Community Transition Interagency Committee as a cooperative between school districts and counties "for youth with disabilities, beginning at grade 9 or age equivalent, and their families" to:
- Identify current services, programs, and funding sources provided within the community for secondary and postsecondary aged youth with disabilities and their families that prepare them for further education; employment, including integrated competitive employment; and independent living;
- Facilitate the development of multiagency teams to address present and future transition needs of individual students on their individualized education programs
- Develop a community plan to include mission, goals, and objectives, and an implementation plan to assure that transition needs of individuals with disabilities are met
- Recommend changes or improvements in the community system of transition services
- Exchange agency information such as appropriate data, effectiveness studies, special projects, exemplary programs, and creative funding of programs

- The Arc - The Arc works with individuals to understand their housing needs and provide access to suitable housing.

- Metro Mobility - A shared public transportation service for certified riders who are unable to use regular fixed-route buses due to a disability or health condition

- Lyft Ridesharing Program - A unique partnership between Lyft and Dakota County to support transportation to and from employment
